Structure of Teaching Team
The English teaching team of this course has six teachers, all of whom have the experience of foreign study and visiting research, such as the United States, Canada, Germany, Thailand, etc. In the teaching team, four teachers received PhD degree of Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (two of them have finished the postdoctoral research of Business Administration in Zhejiang University and Management Science and Engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, respectively). One of them received master degree in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Technology, and one received a master degree in Economics from Wuhan University. At present, there are three professors (all are PhD supervisors), two associate professors and one lecturer in the team. The number of professors, associate professors and lecturer is 3, 2 and 1, respectively. The oldest is 54, and the longest teaching age is 30 years. The youngest is 34, and the teaching age is 8 years. The ratio of teachers to students is 1:14. The structure of teachers’ knowledge and age is reasonable. The teaching team has abundant teaching experience with active academic thought and high collaboration spirit.
Team Achievement
The teaching team undertakes the English teaching task of the course, such as Management, International Business and Project Management for the English taught classes in the major of Business Administration, and the courses of Advanced Management and Frontier of Management for graduates. In recent years, the Excellent Course of Management presided by the team leader won the honor of Hubei Provincial Excellent Course in 2006. The team successfully declared the project of National Excellent Course Management in 2007, and won the honor of National Excellent Course. The team successfully declared the project of National Bilingual Teaching Model Course Management in 2010, and won the honor of National Bilingual Teaching Model Course. All members of this team are the core members of the project of Innovative Experimental Area for International Talents’ Training of Business Administration from Ministry of Education in 2008, the project of Brand Major for Business Administration (Bilingual Teaching) from Hubei Provincial Teaching Research Project in 2007, and the teaching team of Business Administration from Colleges and Universities in Hubei Province in 2010. The course teachers presided over the teaching research project of Colleges and Universities in Hubei Province “the study and practice of construction of practical teaching knowledge system for Business Administration” in 2010, and also participated major project of education scientific planning in Hubei province “research on promoting the internship and employment for undergraduates and collaborative symbiotic development for small and medium-sized enterprises in Hubei province”. The team members presided over university-level teaching research project “the Chinese and foreign comparative study of teaching process of core curriculum for Business Administration” in 2009 and presided over university-level MBA case teaching project “the healthy growth of the Small Blue Whale food management company”, etc. These make great contributions to the teaching and construction for the course of Management.
The team attaches great importance to scientific research and international exchanges, and pay attention to the discipline development. In recent five years, four members have visited to University of California (Davis), Management School of Syracuse University in the United States, and University of Toronto, York University in Canada as the Fulbright senior research scholar or the visiting scholar for one year, respectively. The team members presided over one Key Project of Philosophy and Social Science Research from Ministry of Education, one project of Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, three projects of National Social Science Fund, two projects of Humanities and Social Science Fund from Ministry of Education, and one project of Humanities and Social Science Project of Hubei Province. There were 6 academic papers cited by SCI, 6 cited by SSCI, 14 cited by EI, and 9 papers were accredited as class A in management science by the National Natural Science Foundation. The book written by the team leader was selected to Original Book of “Three Hundred” by China's General Administration of Press and Publication in the third session. The team members got one second and two third Provincial Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology, one third prize for Outstanding Achievements of Social Science in Hubei Province, one third prize for Progress in Science and Technology in Wuhan, and Outstanding Achievement of Social Science in Wuhan.

The Introduction of Team Teachers
Team teacher – Yan Liang is a doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor. He is the discipline leader of Management Science and Engineering, and Business Administration of Project 211 in China University of Geosciences. He is the vice director of Research Center of Resources and Environmental Economics of China University of Geosciences, approved as the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of Colleges and Universities in Hubei Province. He is also the executive director in the Institute of Technical and Economic Modernization Research in Hubei Province, and the director of the Institute of System Engineering in Wuhan city. He was engaged in advanced studies in University of Toronto in Canada for one year, and visited Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bryant University for months. He presided over and finished the project of Innovative Experimental Area for International Talents’ Training of Business Administration from Ministry of Education, The Hubei Provincial Teaching Research Project of Brand Major for Business Administration (Bilingual Teaching), and the project of Bilingual Teaching Team for Business Administration in Hubei Province. The courses taught by him have received widespread praise from teachers and students. He published more than 10 papers and teaching materials. He was awarded as "outstanding director of graduate students in Hubei province", "one of the top ten most popular teachers", "excellent supervisor", and "excellent teacher" in China University of Geosciences.
He presided over many research projects, such as Key Project of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research from the Ministry of Education, The National Natural Science Foundation, Project of National Soft Science, and National Social Science Fund. He published more than 10 papers and books in teaching, and gained one third prize of Outstanding Achievements of Social Science in Hubei Province.
Team teacher – Sun Lijun is a doctor in Management Science and Engineering, postdoctor of Business Administration, associate professor. He teaches the courses of Management, Introduction to Company, and Introduction to Business Management. He is the chief instructor of National Excellent Course Management, and the core member in the project of National Bilingual Course and the project of Innovative Experimental Area for International Talents’ Training of Business Administration from Ministry of Education. He presided over university-level teaching research project of “Chinese and foreign comparative study of teaching process of core curriculum for Business Administration” in 2009 and presided over university-level MBA case teaching project of “the healthy growth of the Small Blue Whale food management company”, etc. He was awarded the honour of “excellent teaching” and “teaching pacesetter” by School of Economics and Management at the university.
Supported by Chinese Scholarship Council, he visited Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University in the United States from September 2006 to August 2007. He published more than 30 academic papers in journals, such as Studies in Science of Science, Management Review, Scientific Management, Economic Management, Research and Development Management, and Economic Review. In recent five years, he presided over six research projects, such as National Social Science Fund, Humanities and Social Science Fund from Ministry of Education, the Sub-project of International Cooperation from National Natural Science Fund. And he participated in seven projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation, National Social Science Fund, Key Projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research from Ministry of Education, Humanities and Social Science Fund from Ministry of Education, etc. He won the third Provincial Prize for Progress in Scientific and Technology (ranking 2).
Team teacher – Shuai Chuanmin is a doctor in Management, professor, doctoral supervisor, and senior research scholar of Fulbright in the United States. He is also the director of Modern Project Management Institute of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and the distinguished expert of the Foreign Funded Project Management Center of Poverty Relief Office under the State Council, the fifth director of Project Management Research Committee (PMRC). He went to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the European Union, Japan and other countries for study and exchange research. From August 2008 to August 2009, dispatched by China Scholarship Council and supported by the Committee of International Academic Exchange of the State Council in the United States (CIES), he was a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar in the University of California-Davis. He teaches the courses of Management, International Business and Project Management in English for undergraduates. He participated in the project of National Excellent Course Management. He presided over university-level teaching research project of “research on the construction of engineering management specialty and teaching management mode”, and published two teaching research papers, such as “considerations on the teaching modes of bilingual education in colleges and universities in China”.
He has been engaged in the research on the project management of UN poverty alleviation, and has been hired as the expert of international organizations, such as the Unite Nations World Food Program (WFP), the Unite Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). He published more than 70 papers in the domestic and international authoritative journals and core journals. 8 papers have been cited by SCI and SSCI, 5 papers cited by EI, 5 papers cited by ISTP, and 8 papers have been published in domestic authoritative journals, such as Management World, China Soft Science, China Rural Economy, and Economic Management. He published 3 books in English and Chinese. He presided over one project of the National Natural Science Foundation, one project of National Social Science Fund, one Humanities and Social Science Project from Ministry of Education, 11 Provincial Scientific Research Projects from the State Council Development Research Center and Department of Agriculture. He won one second and one third Provincial Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, one third prize of Outstanding Achievements of Social Science in Hubei Province, and one Outstanding Achievement of Social Science in Wuhan.
