Brand Course for International Students

Course History
    The course of Management has been set up since the birth of Department of Economics and Management (today’s School of Economics and Management) in 1985. After 28 years of development and innovation, it has accumulated a great foundation. Up to now, this course has been taken as the discipline basic course for all the undergraduates at school. At the same time, the team teachers teach the degree course of Advanced Management and Management, and professional course of Classical Management Case Analysis for master's students, and also teach the degree course of Frontier in Management for doctoral students, so it has formed a complete management course system of bachelor-master-doctor students.

    With the globalization of economics and the reform and openness in China, the China's management education begins to foster international managerial talents with high quality. Responding to the development trend of managerial education, School of Economics and Management at our university establishes Experimental Class Taught in English in the major of Business Administration. Up to the year of 2012, it has recruited 21 classes, with 591 students. Since 2008, of the recruited international students, there are 45
undergraduate students, 30 master's students, and 16 doctoral students. Two classes of undergraduate students and one class of international students per year in this major are taught in English full-time.

    With the hard work and construction of the team teachers, Business Administration (Bilingual Teaching) was listed as the construction project of brand major among the universities in Hubei province in 2007. The project of Innovative Experimental Area for International Talents' Training of Business Administration is approved by Ministry of Education based on the major of Business Administration (Bilingual Teaching), and it was taken as one of the Innovative Experimental Areas for Talents’ Training Mode projected by Ministry of Education for the first batch in 2008. In 2010, teachers’ team was selected as the English Teaching Team of Business Administration among the Universities in Hubei Province. The course of Management constructed by our teaching team won the honors of 
National Excellent Course, National Bilingual Teaching Model Course and National Excellent Resource Share Course in 2007, 2010, and 2016, r espectively.
